Personal Statement
My name is Erik Link and I go above and beyond while bringing fresh ideas to the forefront of the entertainment industry. As a worker I can offer your company a new an efficient way of doing any and all tasks which are required of me to complete the job.
I am proficient with 3ds Max, Motion Capture Software, Motion Builder, Screenplay Narrative, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and basic game design principles/concepts. I have also completed an internship with THQ Support Motion Capture where I worked on two game projects; Where I provided help in editing motion capture takes and the calibration to the cameras. Also I assisted Diesel Games with a vital 3-minute long video game cinematic that was used as a pitch for THQ; In which I was responsible for the motion capture of a real boxer.
Along the way I became a game design Intern for No Insurance Club, where I designed and conceptualized iPhone games, which later down the road ended up becoming Hot Seat Media. From there I did commercial animation using motion capture for Hot Seat where I was able to direct and edit all motion capture projects. I am currently at work at THQ in the Quality Assurance Department, where my primary responsibilities are to help test and document a developer’s game and provide as much feedback as possible to help improve the quality of the game. I can meet any standard of work, and will work well with any team so we can produce an amazing game or as simple as an awesome cinematic animation.
